Q: Why do you use sketchbooks in unconventional formats? A: When I'm drawing I like the shape of the page to 'challenge' me. I also use them to generate ideas - synthesizing disparate experiences and ideas on large, open pages. Concertina sketchbooks are brilliant for this, with drawings and annotations flowing from one page to another.
