Drawing From Life
This is where everything starts – drawing with traditional tools like pencils and charcoal. Whether in the studio or out in the environment I challenge the students to step out of their comfort-zone. This might be with scale, economic mark-making or working on unusual surfaces. Always from first-hand observation, never from photographs.
